Anna Ambrose, LMSW

Social Worker

Pain takes many forms: sorrow, anger, frustration, avoidance, etc. The pressure to be perfect is no friend to healing work, making it even more difficult to do. I want to offer a space for healing, acceptance, and vulnerability. I utilize authenticity, safety in non-judgment, and curiosity to help guide our work together.

You already have all the answers. I want to help you put words to the feelings and teach you how to use the tools hidden away in the back of your mind.

I utilize collaboration, humor, thought challenging, and compassion to tailor to whatever you need in session. Therapy is a team sport and my goal is to create a team environment. Your entire self is welcome in the space, regardless of how anyone else feels about it. Having my own therapist growing up changed my life, and I want to help others get the support they need. It is your time, and I’m just happy you’re spending it with me.

My specialties:

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder/ERP

Trauma/PTSD/CPTSD/Sexual abuse

Anxiety and Depression

EMDR

Internal Family Systems

Eating Disorders

Grief and loss

Self Acceptance/identity

Family struggles

Outside of work, I love to watch some reality tv or anime, make art, play video games, and spend time with my two doggos. I love movement when my body asks for it and sitting myself on the couch when necessary. I have a love/hate relationship with the Tennessee Titans, and may utilize football metaphors from time to time.
