Emma Peebles - Clinical Intern

“The courage to be vulnerable is not about winning or losing, it’s about the courage to show up when you can’t predict or control the outcome.” - Brene Brown.

Hi there! My name is Emma Peebles and I am so excited to meet you. In the therapy space, my aim is to create a safe and warm atmosphere that is fully yours, where you are free to stretch out and realize your most authentic, empowered self.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science with a concentration in Gerontology and a minor in Communication Studies from Samford University, and am currently a clinical intern who will complete my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lipscomb University in May 2025. I am a proud member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy(AAMFT) and am a certified Family Life Educator through the National Council on Family Relations.

My passions for mental health include identifying family of origin issues, untangling intergenerational traumas, encouraging couples along their journeys before and through marriage, breathing fresh life into aspects of relationships that may be stunted by conflict or disappointment, and providing compassion and specialized support for eating disorder sufferers, the aging population, and beyond. To do this, I call upon a fusion of evidence-based modalities including Bowenian Family Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, The Gottman Method, and Satir’s Transformational Systemic Therapy. I look forward to cheering you on as you make courageous steps towards change!
